The Black Country Museum

So today I went to The Black Country Museum and it was really cool. It was different to a lot of museums as it was outdoors. A fun fact is that most of the museum wasn't originally on site it was actually located elsewhere in England and were moved brick by brick to their new location.
The museum is like a small Victorian village where everything, but the café, was authentic including a 1930's style fish and chip shop. The museum also included an artificial mine which was very realistic.
All in all the museum was beautiful and definitely a much easier and fun way of learning about the Industrial Revolution than in a classroom.

The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials

So this month The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials came out and it was amazing.
For those who don't know The Scorch Trials is the second book in The Maze Runner trilogy.

What is The Maze Runner?
The Maze Runner is the first book in a young-adult post-apocalyptic dystopian science fiction trilogy of the same name by James Dashner. The novel was published on October 6, 2009, by Delacorte Press, an imprint of Random House, and was made into a 2014 major motion picture by 20th Century Fox. The novel spawned two sequels: The Scorch Trials (2010) and The Death Cure (2011)...

Synopsis
When the lift cranks open, the only thing Thomas remembers is his name. But he's not alone - an army of boys welcomes him to the Glade, an encampment at the centre of a terrible maze. The Gladers have no idea why they're there, or what's happened to the world outside. And following the arrival of a girl with a message they must find a way out - or die.

So last year The Maze Runner came out as a film and I immediately fell in love with the trilogy and was eager for The Scorch Trials to come out and when it did it was amazing.

Synopsis
Transported to a remote fortified outpost, Thomas and his fellow teenage Gladers find themselves in trouble after uncovering a diabolical plot from the mysterious and powerful organization WCKD. With help from a new ally, the Gladers stage a daring escape into the Scorch, a desolate landscape filled with dangerous obstacles and crawling with the virus-infected Cranks. The Gladers only hope may be to find the Right Hand, a group of resistance fighters who can help them battle WCKD.
